SERVICE PROVIDER

Kevin Dumont, 28

Kevin is a Sr. Product Manager at PinItUp, in San Jose. He’s been with PinItUp for 2.5 years – his second tech job since graduating from Carnegie Mellon's business school. He’s engaged to college sweetheart, and they have a black lab named Jake, who Kevin brings to work.

QUOTE

"I eat, sleep, and drink PinItUp. I want to grow it, fast, and redefine image sharing and curating."

GOALS

  • Integrate PinItUp photo-sharing everywhere
  • Build site traffic, repeat users, and time on site
  • Build recognition for my brand
  • Break into mobile market

ASPIRATIONS FOR WEB INTENTS

  • I want to let my dev team use this framework to let people share images directly to their PinItUp boards.
  • Our audience is a little more web-savvy, and like to use Chrome and Firefox; browsers with image sharing built in.
  • Web Intents knows when users like to use PinItUp and can recommend it as an image sharing option.
  • Web Intents will help me integrate into browsers, and may help me break into the mobile space

CONCERNS ABOUT WEB INTENTS

  • Not sure how my new PinItUp button fits into this new framework.
  • While I expect to get more traffic from browsers and mobile, the majority of my current traffic comes from web pages; am I going to see an overall decrease in page views and visitors?
  • I use Google Analytics to track all my metrics, including social interactions on PinItUp application pages. Are these social actions going to show up there? Even if they happen in Safari or IE? IE is still 57% of my traffic.
